Hello, I'm Dr. Steven Bleish, one of the veterinarians at Taylor Animal Hospital. I graduated from Kansas State University in 1977 with both my B.S. and DVM degrees. I began my career in small animal practice in Dubuque, Iowa, followed by several years in St. Louis. In 1981, I became the owner of the Animal Clinic of Platte County in Parkville, Missouri, where I practiced for more than 35 years. Since 2017, I have served as an associate veterinarian at Taylor Animal Hospital. I am licensed through the Missouri Board of Veterinary Examiners and am a lifetime member of both the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA) and the Missouri Veterinary Medical Association.
Why I Chose This Profession
I chose veterinary medicine because I love helping pets and supporting the people who care for them. It has always been important to me to make a positive difference in the lives of both animals and their owners, so this career has been a natural fit for me.
My Favorite Part of My Job
My favorite part of my work is seeing animals respond to treatment and recover.
Personal Hobbies and Interests
Outside of the clinic, I enjoy quail hunting and fishing. I’m also the proud owner of a Labradoodle who keeps me busy.
