Welcome to the Team

Alyssa Riley - Professional Pet Groomer

Alyssa is originally from Kansas City, Missouri, and graduated from Oak Park High School.  She has approximately 20 years of experience working in the animal field. Her background includes: 2 years as a dog bather, 7 years as a veterinary assistant, and the past 12 years as a groomer and pet stylist in Smithville. 

In addition to her experience, Alyssa has participated in creative grooming competitions. These competitive challenges incorporate pet-safe color and coat carving techniques. In her first competition, she entered the beginner division and won with her poodle. She is passionate about grooming as a craft and stays current by attending grooming expos and continuing her education.

As a groomer, Alyssa values the relationships she builds with pets and their families, often seeing her grooming clients every six weeks. She believes grooming should be a positive experience and works to help dogs feel comfortable and excited for their appointments.

Outside of work, Alyssa enjoys crocheting, reading, watching TV, and playing video games with her kids. At home, she shares her life with three dogs—Banner, a French Bulldog; Comic, a Lab mix; and Bosco, a Shepherd mix. She also has as a cat named Pantheress and a red-tailed boa named Drogo.
